How To Disable System Integrity Protection

Starting from OSX El Capitan, apple has equipped their OS with System Integrity Protection. Aimed to protect system directory, root action, etc. But the payoffs is some older application become misbehave with this new environment.

Here is step by step on how to disable the System Integrity Protection:

  • Reboot your mac
  • Enter recovery mode by pressing Command+R (⌘+R) while rebooting
  • Open Terminal ()
  • type:
    csrutil disable
  • Reboot to normal mode
  • Done!
